Guide on how to identify game file name
You may have noticed that
- The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild [01007EF00011E000][v0].nsp
- Zelda Breath of the Wild [UPD][01007ef00011e800][v720896].nsp
These are title ID following by update version. Title ID associated with region so Legend of Zelda BotW for EU may have different ID than the one for US.
An Update File should have
To confirm a game identity and its region, please use nswdb.com
To read an update version, divide the number by 65536. The number you get indicates HOW MANY TIMES the game has gone updated (Patch 1, Patch 2 and so on). The base file is patch 0. For Zelda BotW [v720896], it indicates this is the 21st update for this particular game (Patch 21).
This method works for most games with very few updates. v65536, v131072, v196608 & v458752 often means it is v1.1, v1.2, 1.3 & v1.7 respectively.
